1000 Lives
The Safer Patient Initiative now goes under the new name of 1000 lives, referring to the aim of saving 1000 lives in Wales by the introduction of simple measures identified and applied by front-line health service workers towards improving patient safety.
We are grateful to Gemma Ellis, project lead for patient safety in critical care for providing an excellent introduction to the rationale.
